I know you guys like concrete elements to picture my trip. That's why I decided to keep track of my travels every single day. This is how I came up with that synthetic table telling you how many kilometers I've done in each coutry and how.

-> In a nutshell:

- All together: 76.000km, almost twice the circumference of the earth. I basically did two round-the-world trips in 8 months!

- In a taxi, bus or car: 15.000km, more than the distance between Paris (France) and Perth (Australia)!

- On the train: 5.500km, the distance between Paris and New York City (USA)

- On a motorbike: 3000km, the distance between Paris and Damascus (Syria)

- On foot: 1.500km, the distance from Marseilles (France) to Edinburgh (UK)

- On a boat: 2.000km, the distance from Paris to Helsinki (Finland)

- In a plane: 50.000km, more than 5 times the distance from Paris to Bangkok (Thailand)!

But if you want to be a little more specific, I decided to calculate the average in each country (not taking the plane into account). You'll understand better when I tell you that traveling is tiring :-) On average, I've traveled 360km per day or 130km without flying.

- Thailand is the country where I travel the most with an average of 215km a day. This high average is because of the night train and several scooter trips I took in the northern part.

- Indonesia and Malaysia are right after with about 130km per day. Indonesia because of the scooter again and the buses. Malaysia because of the very long bus rides which are not direct from one place to another.

- I walked a lot in Taiwan: 206km in total, so 13km a day! No wonder why I hurt my knee in the end.
